Celebrating 40 Years of Mountain Music!

September 8-11, 2010
Carter Caves State Resort Park, Olive Hill, Kentucky

Join us for a weekend gathering of traditional musicians and lovers of old time music and help preserve the rich musical heritage of the Eastern Kentucky Hills.

At the festival, we honor master fiddler J.P. Fraley and the music of the mountains. Featuring professional and amateur musicians alike, all will be sure to have a good time. Whether playing on stage, jamming in the parking lots, or sharing music around the campfires of Carter Caves, this festival is an experience to remember.

The newly organized Friends of Carter Caves will be selling snacks and drinks near the amphitheater Friday night and Saturday afternoon and evening, weather permitting.

In 2007 KET filmed a documentary about Mountain Music at the festival. Check this link, www.ket.org/muse/mountainmusic/ to find out more and for broadcast times.
